Into the Storm
Into The Storm was directed by Steven Quale which was filmed in 2012 but released August 2014. The budget was $80,000,000 and grossed $152,525,483. It was only recently released but has already won one award. It stars Matt Walsh, Sarah Wayne Callies, Richard Armitage, Jeremy Sumpter, Max Deacon, Nathan Kress, Alycia Debnam-Carey and Jon Reep.

The plot summary is in the span of a single day, the town of Silverton, Oklahoma is ravaged by an unknown before onslaught of tornadoes. The entire town is at the mercy of the erratic and deadly twisters, even as storm trackers predict the worst is yet to come. Most people seek shelter, while others run towards it, testing how far a storm chaser will go for that once-in-a-lifetime shot, the eye of the tornado. A group of storm chasers, local townspeople and Jackass wannabes end up all coming together as the storm hits. Told from point of view and filmed as found-footage, these storms are bigger than any that have ever been and they must risk putting their lives in danger in order for them to achieve their personal goals and document or just survive these tornadoes safely.
Disaster Movie World gave this movie 4/5 stars and states the film builds to a nice intensity that takes you right into the action, which includes dramatic, emotional and also funny scenes. The characters have easy to follow story lines, but the main stars were the visual and sound effects. They say Into The Storm gains extra points for the spectacular onscreen death of Jacob (Jeremy Sumpter) involving a fire tornado and a scene where we follow Pete (Matt Walsh) all the way to the top of the twister in his Titus.
