Dawn of the planet of the Apes and Pulp Fiction

I have watched and done some further research to look at some more of the top and most popular thriller films. I have analysed these openings and shown key features that occur.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

Very dark lighting to create mystery for the audience and to add tension
Music is playing throughout and builds up and becomes louder and louder for the audience while the action develops
Exaggerated screaming/ monkey noise's to highlight this action
We see a sense of revenge as they seem to be practising for something?
We see that suffering is highlighted also as we see a scene with the deer and the bear.

Pulp Fiction

No dark lighting, only during day with some bright colours
Talking about robberies, crime and guns therefore hinting to us there making a plan and this is a thriller
Women seems a little mental as her facial expressions are strange
Swearing occurs a lot which means as thrillers are targgeted to older teenagers and up-wards, this could be relating to them
unusual to have a story and a past giving to you in the opening.
