We watched the opening of inception and picked out key features that we noticed. Inception is a psychological thriller due to the mind games and unclear narrative. Key things that I noticed were that the opening did not reveal much and contained a lot of tension/mystery. It also contained many stereotypical thriller features; the plot twist of the woman holding a gun led to the audience being confused and therefore wanting to carry on watching to find out who she is and why she switched sides.
Finally there was no clear good or bad side as everyone included was committing crime. For example kidnapping, drugging people and lots of gun violence. This therefore again made it more complicated and complex for the audience.
