Inception

During our first couple of lessons we watched the opening of Inception and picked out key features.Inception is a complex thriller, which with holds confusion, excitement and mind games. Key feature's that I noticed frequently during the opening was the suspence,tension and mystery. During this opening we witness a confusion on who's the protagonist and antagonist, as everyone is committing different crimes such as: shooting,drugs and kidnapping. As we are lead to beileve that the women is a protagonist however challenges the stereotype and becomes a antagonist. Crime is a key convention in a typical thriller. This helps us understand that Inception is a thriller. We also get a atmosphere of complication as we see the mind games not only played on them but us also. As we get confused on whats going on and if they have atually come out of them 'dream'.

We also see many typical camera angles and techniques used such as, close ups to show us the facial expressions of the characters this is used to hopefully try and help us figure out whats going on. We also see a key convention, such as POV this is used to help us feel apart of the action and to show us highlighted events.
